With 35 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Sunday currently excels as an adjunct member in the English faculty and a QEP coordinator in Jacksonville College. Previously, she served as an eleventh grade teacher, a twelfth grade teacher, a substitute teacher and a bus driver in the Rush Independent School Distinct in Texas, with which she initially became involved in 1986. Furthermore, Ms. Sunday volunteers with her church by transporting clothing to the World Bible Institute, which distributes the items to more than 40 countries around the world.
Initially earning a bachelor’s degree in 2002 and a Master of Education in 2008, Ms. Sunday is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in curriculum and instruction at Liberty University. As a testament to her impressive professional endeavors, she has been recognized as a two-time Student Council District Advisor of the Year, a two-time Rusk High School Teacher of the Year, a two-time nominee for Who’s Who Among American Teachers and the Rusk Independent School District Driver of the Year. Attributing her success to her desire to make a difference as well as the bond she shares with her incredibly husband of 45 years, she is incredibly proud of her achievements as both a mother of three and a dedicated figure in her field. Looking toward the near future, Ms. Sunday hopes to complete her doctorate at Liberty University.
