Dr. Mildred Battle, Retired Professor at Marshall University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.

Dr. Battle taught students as a professor at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia from 1988 to 2012. Prior to this, she was a project chemist at International Nickel Company in New Jersey. She attended Boston University in Massachusetts to earn her master’s degree in chemistry and continued at the school for her doctorate in chemistry, general science and education. 

Dr. Battle is also active in preserving history and personal stories as an assistant to the district general of the International Biographical Association. She also serves this organization as an ambassador to Canada and West Virginia and she is a member of the association’s council. She attributes her career success to her parents, who supported her in her career goals. Traveling and learning from others also helped her achieve professional success.
