Prior to this, she was a project chemist at International Nickel Company in New Jersey. Dr. Battle is also active in preserving history and personal stories as an assistant to the district general of the International Biographical Association. She also serves this organization as an ambassador to Canada and West Virginia and she is a member of the association’s council. She attributes her career success to her parents, who supported her in her career goals. Traveling and learning from others also helped her achieve professional success.
