Previously, she was a music teacher for Success Academy Charter Schools in New York and a voice and piano teacher for Church Street School for Music and Art and for the Music Academy of Garden City, both in New York. 

Ms. Malaszczyk graduated, cum laude, in 2015 from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s in vocal performance. She earned her master’s in vocal performance and opera from Hunter College, City University of New York in 2018. She was the soprano section leader for the First Presbyterian Church of Freeport, New York from 2016 to 2018 and a performer for the Hunter College Symphony Orchestra. She has performed in several venues around New England and is an active member with the National Opera Association, along with multiple honor societies and music-oriented civic groups. In the future, Ms. Malaszczyk plans to continue educating students and ultimately, teach other teachers about music education.
