Dr. Masa Noguchi, Architecture Educator & Associate Professor in Environmental Design at The University of Melbourne, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in architectural education.

With more than 15 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Noguchi has excelled as an associate professor in environmental design in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Melbourne since 2013. Prior to this appointment, he served at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in the Glasgow School of Art as a lecturer in architectural technology from 2006 to 2010, a senior lecturer from 2010 to 2011 and a reader from 2011 to 2013. He began his career as a research officer at the CANMET Energy Technology Centre with Natural Resources Canada from 2004 to 2006. Beyond his primary responsibilities within the field, Dr. Noguchi has been active with the ZEMCH Network as a founding coordinator, global coordinator, chartered engineer, chartered environmentalist, workshop designer and chartered technological product designer.

Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Noguchi pursued an education at Kogakuin University, earning a Bachelor of Engineering in architecture in 1998. He continued his academic efforts at McGill University, from which he obtained a Master of Architecture in 2000 and a Doctor of Philosophy in architecture in 2004. Garnering a postgraduate certificate in learning and teaching from the University of the Arts London in 2008, he concluded his studies at Birmingham City University in 2010, at which time he graduated with an ABBE Level 3 Diploma in On Construction Energy Assessment. In addition to these accomplishments, Dr. Noguchi has been presented with an Award from the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development in 1999, a Team Award from the CANMET Energy Technology Centre in 2006, a Scottish Crucible from the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 2010 and a MSD Teaching and Learning Award for Innovative Teaching from the University of Melbourne in 2016.
