Jin Tong Wang, Professor at Southern University and A&M College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in physics instruction.

Hailing from China, Dr. Wang harbored a longtime interest in science and was inspired by his teacher who taught mathematics. After immigrating to the United States, he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in physics from Montana State University in Bozeman in 1986. Dr. Wang subsequently provided superior education as a professor of physics, graduate and postdoctoral supervisor and director of the Electronic Materials and Devices Research Laboratory at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from 1995 to 2017.

A prolific public speaker and author, Dr. Wang has written and contributed to numerous scientific journals and published his memoir “Life Journey Through Three Regimes, Two Counties and Two Systems” as well as “Collection of Published Articles on Physics.” He was named Researcher/Scholar of the Year by the College of Sciences, Southern University for the 1999-2000 school year, and his professional memberships include the Chinese-American Physicists Society. Now retired, Dr. Wang’s goal in the coming years is to continue to write and publish.
