Renee Wilson-Wicker, Director of Choral Activities at Mountain View High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in music education.
Ms. Wilson-Wicker graduated with a Bachelor of Music from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 1984 before obtaining a Master of Music in voice performance from Manhattan School of Music in New York, New York in 1992. She has been a musician and a music educator and served as the director of the Grayson High School mixed chorus and the Creekland Middle School chorus in Georgia.
Previously, Ms. Wilson-Wicker taught children as a music teacher at multiple schools, performed as a staff singer and assistant conductor at multiple churches and instructed students as the director of choral activities at several Georgia schools. She is a certified head adjudicator with the Georgia Music Educators Association. Every day, she leads five to six choral groups by helping them prepare for concerts and upcoming performances and instructing them on basic musical elements.
As the state chorale chair and vice president for all-state events for the Georgia Music Educators Association, Ms. Wilson-Wicker is active in musical performances across the state. She also puts her skills to use as a member of the American Choral Directors Association.
