Arielle Rachel Sax, Early Childhood Educator at South Bend Hebrew Day School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
Ms. Sax is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She teaches general education to four- and five-year-olds and believes her connection to the children has led to her success. She is a preschool teacher and former librarian for South Bend Hebrew Day School. She has also taught art and early childhood endorsement.
After working with younger children in public schools as a student teacher, Ms. Sax knew that she had found the age group that she wanted to teach. She attended Indiana University South Bend from 1997 to 2008, ultimately earning a Master of Science in Education. She cites the natural joy and love of learning found in young children as a driving force and inspiration behind her professional teaching techniques. Her uncle, a lifelong teacher, was a strong early influence who helped guide her career path. Following her time working with younger learners, she worked at a pre-school on a part-time basis while pursuing her education and found that that she enjoyed teaching this age group. The realization helped guide her to her current career, which she sees as her long-term path.
