Victoria Remolar-Javier, Teacher at Immaculate Heart of Mary School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in parochial school education.
Ms. Remolar-Javier has excelled in parochial school education for more than four decades. Hailing from the Philippines, Ms. Remolar-Javier obtained a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the Baguio Colleges Foundation, now known as the University of the Cordilleras, in Baguio, the Philippines in 1963. She provided superior education as a teacher with the Bureau of Public Schools in Baguio City from 1963 to 1969.
After immigrating to the United States in 1969, she excelled as a teacher in Brooklyn, New York with St. John the Baptist School from 1970 to 1985, Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary and St. Stephen from 1985 to 1986 and Immaculate Heart of Mary School from 1986 to 2007. After her retirement in 2007, she served as a substitute teacher with Our Lady of Perpetual Help School from 2007 to 2009.
Despite her initial ambition to become a nurse, Ms. Remolar-Javier loved teaching in the Diocese of Brooklyn for 40 years and was very happy to have the opportunity to immigrate to the United States. In the coming years, she is hoping to spend more time with her grandchildren and hopefully her great-grandchildren in the coming years.
