Rev. Fr. Dr. Dominic Obielosi, Lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in religious instruction.
Following his ordination as a Catholic priest in 1996, Dr. Obielosi obtained a Licentiate in Scripture in biblical exegesis from the Pontifical Biblical Institute, a diploma in German language and literature from Jugendheim and a diploma in Jewish religious studies from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He continued his education with a Doctor of Philosophy in biblical theology in 2007 from Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. From 2008 to 2009, Dr. Obielosi excelled as a lecturer in New Testament studies in Spanish with the Pastoral Institute Diocese of Brooklyn and followed as a lecturer in the religion department of Nwafor Orizu College of Education in Nsugbe, Nigeria from 2009 to 2011.
Since 2009, Dr. Obielosi has provided superior guidance as rector with Holy Family Youth Village in Amansea-Awka, Nigeria, where he is responsible for daily operations and provides spiritual and administrative support. Additionally, with Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, he has prospered as a lecturer in Biblical, Greek and New Testament studies since 2011 and since 2012 has also served as the school’s dean of freshmen admissions in the department of religion and human relations. Dr. Obilosi also serves admirably as a lecturer in biblical Greek with John Paull II Major Seminary, also in Awka.
Dr. Obielosi attributes his success to God, first and foremost, and to his parents for providing him with great training in school. He also had teachers and several priests who became his mentors and guided him in his career journey. Dr. Obielosi is looking forward to improving himself because he intends to challenge himself in his area of expertise. In the coming years, he is hoping to become a professor and take the time to write more books.
