Randy Krejci, Principal at Harding Middle School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in high school education and sports administration.
Mr. Krejci obtained a Bachelor of Arts in education 1976 and a Master of Arts in 1983 in education from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. He then provided superior education as a teacher and administrator with Cedar Rapids Community Schools from 1976 to 2012 and as principal of Harding Middle School in Cedar Rapids from 1997 to 2012.
Since 2000, Mr. Krejci has excelled as commissioner of the Mississippi Valley Athletic Conference, a high-school athletic conference whose members are located in the metropolitan areas of eastern region of the Iowa, including Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Iowa City and Waterloo-Cedar Falls. In this capacity, he serves as announcer at some athletic events and as basketball scorekeeper, coaches tennis for Waterloo West High School and hosts a weekly radio interview show, “Pick of the Week.” For his efforts in high school athletics, Mr. Krejci has been honored with the Jack North Award from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and an Administrator of the Year Award from the Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association.
Mr. Krejci attributes his success to his associates such as the athletic director with his alma mater, Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School, who have helped him in high school, college, and professionally. As his career highlight, he cites running some state tournaments in high school volleyball, basketball, tennis, baseball, and softball, as well as his affiliation with two organizing bodies in the state of Iowa, which he has assisted in overseeing state tournaments for almost 40 years. In the near future, Mr. Krejci is looking forward to a well-deserved retirement.
