Adam Burgh, Social Studies Teacher at Culpeper Middle School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in social studies and history instruction.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in 2017 from Saint Vincent College in Unity Township, Pennsylvania, Mr. Burgh excelled as a sixth and seventh grade social studies and history teacher with Culpeper Middle School, Virginia, capturing Teacher of the Month honors in 2019 and 2020 in what he considers to be a career highlight. Additionally, he has made contributions as a National Junior Honor Society advisor.

While Mr. Burgh and his wife Anna were originally from Pennsylvania, they went to a job fair in Culpeper and realized that its wonderful community would be a good place for them and decided to move to Culpeper and become educators there. His wife is also an educator and teaches third grade in one of the elementary schools.

Mr. Burgh attributes his success to his alma mater, Saint Vincent College, for having an excellent education program as well as to Culpeper Middle School for all the opportunities it extended to him as an educator. In five years, he hopes to pursue and complete a master’s degree in history education. He also hopes to continue his work as an educator at the Culpeper Middle School and continue to help educate students. Moreover, teaching at a local community college for night classes is something that he looks forward to in the future as well.
