In addition, she provided superior education as an adjunct professor, master teacher of chorale program and department of music staff member with Pacific University in Forest Grove.
Ms. Van Dyke’s professional memberships include the Oregon Music Educators Association, American Chorale Directors Association and Mu Phi Epsilon International Professional Music Fraternity. Her consistent high-quality choir programs have resulted in multiple award wins.
According to Ms. Van Dyke, her life was changed when her interest in choir in her junior year in high school led to her bachelor’s degree in music education. Initially interested in becoming a band director, she became a choral director at the suggestion of her college advisor. She maintains that the key factors in her success include remaining as positive as possible no matter what is going on around her and expecting the best for herself and her students.
Ms. Van Dyke’s goal in the coming years is to finish her PhD program in Educational Leadership at Pacific University. She also hopes to settle down, enjoy her children as they grow and establish themselves in their own lives, and also to become a grandmother.
