Gregory Burdett, Chief Executive Officer at JG Discovery Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in childcare services.
Since 2014, Mr. Burdett has provided superior service as the chief executive officer of JG Discovery Inc., which provides day care services to over 200 children. He brings many years of experience in caring for an educating children to this enterprise, as he excelled as a special education transition teacher with the Gwinnett County Public Schools from 1994 to 2014. In this capacity, he helped to acclimate children from nontraditional school settings who suffer emotional and behavioral disabilities to a high school setting as well as assisting in remediating academic and social deficits.
Additionally, as the social director of Smoke Rise Day Camp at Stone Mountain from 1995 to 2017, Mr. Burdett served 140 children per week ages 6 to 16 in a diverse and challenging summer program, helping direct early childhood education instructors. He also regularly contributes to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and maintains an active affiliation with Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. Earlier, Mr. Burdett had received an educational specialist degree from Georgia State University and an All-But-Dissertation in instructional leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Mr. Burdett attributes a great deal of his success to the support of his wife and three children. A gifted dart and chess player, he intends to return to darts competition in the coming years and eventually test his skills against the most successful dart players in his home state of Georgia.
