Andrew Hill, STEM Curriculum Specialist at Brookfield High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in STEM curriculum administration.

After obtaining Bachelors of Science in mathematics and psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, in 2004, Mr. Hill continued his education with a Master of Science in secondary education and teaching in 2007 and subsequently earned a certification in educational leadership and administration in 2013 from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut.

Mr. Hill has provided superior service as an educator. From 2006 to 2014, he taught high school for the Brookfield, Connecticut Board of Education and then served as mathematics department chair in Brookfield High School from 2014 to 2015. He subsequently worked as the mathematics coordinator for secondary education for the Westport Board of Education from 2015 to 2018 and returned to the Brookfield Public Schools as a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) curricular specialist later in 2018. As a STEM specialist, Mr. Hill supervises 25 high school teachers at Brookfield High School, evaluating their performance and working with them on their curriculum.

In addition, Mr. Hill has prospered as SAT preparation director and a mathematics and science tutor for the Brookfield Learning Center since 2006 to the present and since 2014, he has flourished as an adjunct professor of education for the University of Bridgeport.

Mr. Hill’s honors include Distinguished Adjunct Professor of Education Award from the University of Bridgeport in 2015, Brookfield District Teacher of the Year in 2010 and Outstanding Scholarship in Mathematics Education Award from the University of Bridgeport in 2007.

Crediting his professional success on his passion for teaching, Mr. Hill maintains that teaching is the most powerful thing in the world because it is one of the few places where it is literally your job to change and shape how someone thinks.
