Dr. Lois A. Milholland Davies, Educational Administration Consultant at Engaging Learners, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education administration.
From 1999 to 2004, Dr. Davies excelled as an educator with the North Central Educational Service District (NCESD) in Wenatchee, a Washington State organization whose mission is to provide leadership and quality service in advocating for innovative educational programs for the children and communities served. She provided superior service with the NCESD as a coordinator in gifted education, an improvement specialist and director of adult consumer education telecommunications. Additionally, she served as superintendent of the Pateros School District from 2008 to 2018 and as an educational administration consultant with Engaging Learners, Orondo, from 2018 to the present.
Dr. Davies obtained her Master of Education in curriculum from Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1998 and a Doctor of Education in administration from Washington State University in Pullman in 2011. She was a founding board member of Dollars for Scholars in 1993 and served as an exchange teacher in Zibo, China in 1995. Her professional associations include the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, National Association for Gifted Children, and Center for Exceptional Children and she has served as president of the Washington Association of School of Administrators.
Dr. Davies became involved in her profession because she believed in the future of children. When she was a sophomore in college, she changed her major. She started in law, moved to medicine, then to social work, and lastly majored in education.
