Currently providing superior education as a 6th grade teacher with Grand Prairie Independent School District in Texas, Ms. Session-Willis brings a wealth of educational training to her position. After earning a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Mississippi College in Clinton, she obtained a master’s degree in curriculum and instructions for mathematics education from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2019. Ms. Session-Willis is now studying for a Doctor of Philosophy in education at Walden University, from which she hopes to graduate in 2023. Ms. Session-Willis’ professional memberships include the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
Ms. Session-Willis credits her success success to her optimism and she also credits her deep faith. She originally wanted to be a doctor, but also harbored an interest in mathematics and entered education. Ms. Session-Willis had a lot of teachers in her life that made a difference and pushed her academically and personally to be the best version of herself, and it inspired her to do the same thing for others. After obtaining her doctorate, she hopes to become an instructional coach and move into education consulting.
