Christopher G. Rodriguez, Director at Rowan College South Jersey Cumberland Campus Financial Aid, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in financial aid administration.
Since 2021, Mr. Rodriguez has provided superior service as director of financial aid with the Rowan College South Jersey Cumberland Campus in Vineland, specializing in specializing in assessment, foundation scholarships, federal and state reporting, work study, Strategic Enrollment Management, New Jersey state aid, diversity and inclusion. He had previously served as a professor at the institution from 2009 to 2015. As a professor, Mr. Rodriguez taught public administration, public budgeting, grant writing and introduction to public policy, as well as sociology and psychology.
After initially obtaining an Associate of Science in paralegal studies with Cumberland County College in New Jersey in 2002, Mr. Rodriguez followed with a Bachelor of Science in social justice from Montclair State University in 2006 and continued his education with a Master of Public Administration from Strayer University in Washington in 2009.
From 2000 to 2015, Mr. Rodriguez excelled as a financial aid counselor and adjunct professor with Cumberland County College, and subsequently flourished as assistant director and later director of financial aid as well as an adjunct professor with Middlesex County College in Edison from 2015 to 2021. His professional memberships include the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and New Jersey Association of Financial Aid Administrators.
Mr. Rodriguez entered his profession by chance when he was a student worker. The longer he was there, the more he fell in love with it as a field rather than just a profession, and it also satisfies both his analytical and social worker sides. He attributes his success to the drive and passion that his parents instilled in him. In the coming years, Mr. Rodriguez’s goal is to resume teaching in higher education, and he also aims to continue to do research on public policy, focusing more on a poverty and injustice standpoint.
