After obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia in 1984, where he served as a research assistant and teaching assistant from 1980 to 1984, Dr. Srivatsan progressed onwards as a research fellow from 1984 to 1985 with the Center for Computational Sciences at Atlanta University in Georgia, where he developed and successfully implemented numerical methods for the solution of random integral equations in the classical theory of elasticity, mechanics of solids and problems of fracture mechanics. Dr. Srivatsan also provided excellent service as a research associate and instructor at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1984 to 1985 and as a manager of research and development at Materials Modification Inc. in Vienna, Virginia from 1985 to 1987, a company devoted to developing innovative approaches for the processing of new, improved and novel materials for a spectrum of existing and emerging applications spanning both the performance-critical and non-performance critical.

Since 2019, as the founder and director of operations of Precision, Perfection and Pride Inc. in Akron, Ohio, Dr. Srivatsan streamlines and facilitates operations for engineering analysis and technical services in the specific areas of materials engineering, materials processing, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technology, both related and relevant to a selected number of industries spanning the production of metals and composites, processing of metals, alloys and composite counterparts, fabrication of metals, alloys and their composite counterparts, and mechanical behavior of materials spanning metals, alloy and composites and to include failure analysis. In addition, he proactively assists in the preparation, compilation, assembly and presentation of technical reports, brochures and related material for the purpose of documentation, examination, evaluation and assessment.

Dr. Srivatsan has during his years of tireless service in the academic environment been fortunate to be selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in the Midwest (1992-2004), Who’s Who in Technology (1994-2004), Who’s Who in Science and Engineering (2005), Who’s Who among American Teachers (2005-2006), Who’s Who in America (2016-2018; 2021-2022), Who’s Who in the World (2018-2019; 2020-2021), Who’s Who in American Education (2020), and Who’s Who in Marquis Industry Leaders (2021). In the professional hemisphere, his memberships include the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the American Society for Materials International (ASM Int.), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS). Dr. Srivatsan is a fellow of AAAS, a fellow of ASM Int. and a fellow of ASME. He attributes his success to hard work made possible through a contagious degree of dedication and diligence to both initiate and successfully execute and accomplish tasks that he either takes on or assigned to him that has necessitated the need for ‘innumerable’ number of personal sacrifices on several fronts spanning the professional hemisphere.
