Ryan R. Estrada, Middle School Math Teacher at Fort Bend Independent School District, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mathematics instruction.
Since 2020, Mr. Estrada has excelled as a middle school mathematics instructor with the Fort Bend Independent School District in Missouri City, Texas where he has taught virtual and face-to-face classes. He started his teaching career as an Algebra I teacher with the Alief Independent School District in Houston, Texas from 2009 to 2011 and instructed numerous Mathnasium learning centers in Memorial City, Texas and Orlando, Florida from 2011 to 2013, and Harmony Public Schools in Houston from 2013 to 2014. Between 2014 and 2020, Mr. Estrada provided superior education as a mathematics instructor with the Houston Independent School District, a tenure in which he taught college preparatory courses that greatly affected his students and mentored preservice and first-year teachers on his campus.
Mr. Estrada initially obtained a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Houston in 2004 before earning an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Valencia Community College in 2006. He continued his education with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics education from the University of Central Florida in 2009 and Master of Education in school counseling from Lamar University in 2014. Mr. Estrada eventually concluded his formal academic efforts with a Master in Education in advanced studies with a concentration in instructional leadership and majored in cognitive sciences at the American College of Education in 2020. Mr. Estrada accepted a Teacher Leader Award from Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society for Education in 2015 and was also presented with a New Teacher of the Year Award from the Houston Independent School District the same year.
Mr. Estrada attributes his success to the people around him, such as his family, friends and colleagues in addition to his students, who encouraged him to become a better educator. In the coming years, he has stated his intention to become a professional counselor and a professor of psychology.
