Ronda Hayes, Counselor Education Program Coordinator at Sul Ross State University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in counseling education.
Since 2010, Ms. Hayes has flourished as a counselor education instructor and program coordinator with Sul Ross State University, Alpine, Texas, in which she provides supervision for the counselor education practicum and intern students, plans and schedules counselor education course rotation and instructors, plans marketing strategies for potential students and advises and teaches counseling education students. In addition, since 2005, she has provided excellent care imparting counseling services through her private practice, Angelo Counseling, for a military base in her community. From 1979 to 2012 Dr. Hayes flourished as a counselor in the San Angelo Independent School District.
After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a minor in English from Angelo State University, San Angelo, in 1978, Ms. Hayes followed with Masters of Education in mid-management in 1987 and counseling in 1991 from Angelo State. Currently she is studying toward a Doctor of Philosophy in counseling from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
Ms. Hayes’ affiliations include the American Counseling Association, Association for Counselor Education and Supervision and Three Rivers Counseling Association. Among her many honors are the Sul Ross State Amazing Academic Assessment Award and Top Academic Assessment Model Report as well as the George Pliler Counselor of the Year Award given by Three Rivers Counseling Association, San Angelo.
