Mr. Glass obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Morehead State University in Kentucky in 1966 and later continued his education with a Master of Arts from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1980. He was inspired in his profession by his music teachers, Fred and Barbara Gooseman, and excelled from a young age, composing the music of the alma mater song for the Fairfield High School in 1968.

While providing superior education as a music teacher with the Fairfield City School District for more than three decades from 1966 to 2001, during which he has taught over 18,000 students and led approximately 500 concerts, excelling as a tuba and string bass player. With Fairfield, he prospered as elementary band director and director of select elementary singing groups. In addition to music instruction, he has served as vice president and secretary of the Fairfield Residents Association, choir director with St. Marks United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Church and Lindenwald Methodist Church. Mr. Glass considers his ability to connect with students is important to his success. He wishes to be thought of as a good educator and music instructor.
