Title: Tai Chi/Qi Gong Instructor
Company: Musicational Doc
Location: Hamden, Connecticut, United States
Kathy Trusdell, Tai Chi/Qi Gong Instructor at Musicational Doc, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in teaching.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Trusdell has found success in several fields but found her joy in working with others and helping them succeed. At the start of her professional career, she served in healthcare in India as a nursing assistant then became a recreational therapist. She went on to work in the music industry with the main focus of music as therapy. With this sentiment, she had a student call her at night because she was so excited playing her organ and did not realize the time. For the last 11 years, Ms. Trusdell found her passion with teaching Tai Chi and Qi Gong, primarily to seniors. Notably, she is the owner of Musicational Doc and a member of the National Qi-Gong Association.
Ms. Trusdell cites the most rewarding aspect of her profession is simply spreading happiness. Through her work as a Tai Chi/Qi Gong Instructor, she most enjoys seeing and experiencing her client’s healing, especially as they go from a wheelchair to a walker, to a cane and in some cases no longer needing any of the above. Ms. Trusdell is currently taking online courses with Roger Jahnke. In five to 10 years’ time, she envisions herself being a published author of about eight books – she has been journaling for 20 years, writes every day, channels energy every day and dreams of past lives she has had, noting that she knows this is her last lifetime on Earth. Ms. Trusdell is backed by coursework in therapeutic recreation from Middlesex Community College from 1995.
