Omar A. Rodriguez Jr., insurance agent for New York Life Insurance Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in economics education and insurance sales.
Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Mr. Rodriguez began his professional career as a college professor of economics, business administration, and technical English for nearly 15 years. An expert in teaching the principles of insurance, financial services, and risk management, he is proud to have provided each of his students with the tools and practical education to succeed in the industry. Mr. Rodriguez has also taught English as a Second Language at Centro Venezolano Americano and held faculty positions at both Instituto Universitario de Tecnologia Industrial and Instituto Universitario Carlos Soublette. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Andrés Bello Catholic University and began studying insurance after immigrating to the United States in the early 2000s.
As an insurance professional at New York Life Insurance Company, Mr. Rodriguez specializes in insurance, college funds, mutual funds and retirement plans. Though he is still in training, he expects to participate in his community through selling, activities and local events through his church. Looking toward the future, he hopes to have his Securities and Exchange Commission license within his first three years as an insurance broker and looks forward to completing a Master of Business Administration at Grand Canyon University.
