Specialized in algebra and general mathematics, Ms. Warren lends more than 15 years of professional experience to her role as an educator with John Adams Middle School, a part of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District in California, since 2014. In this capacity, her responsibilities include teaching and planning for her core curriculum students, and supports her fellow colleagues as a mathematics team leader. In a career suffused with highlights, Ms. Warren is most proud to have served as an instructional coach with the initial unveiling of Common Core educational standards.

Outside of her primary career endeavors, Ms. Warren has found success as an associate trainer with Kagan Publishing and Professional Development, a company that seeks to encourage a more nourishing and positive learning environment for students through revolutionary teaching techniques. Previously, she served as an instructional coach and teacher for Cincinnati Public Schools from 2003 until 2014.

Ms. Warren’s exemplary performance in the field was born of her academic journey, which began at Grumbling State University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1997, she continued her edification at the University of Cincinnati, from which she earned a master’s degree in early childhood education in 2002. Looking toward the future, Ms. Warren hopes to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy in instruction or mathematics.

To commemorate her accomplishments, Ms. Warren earned recognition for her work as an educator liaison on behalf of the Village Life Outreach Project in 2008, during which time she visited Africa twice. Likewise, she was bestowed with an Excellence in Teaching Award from the Superintendent of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District in 2013. In accounting for her standout success, Ms. Warren credits her commitment to hard work, as well as the influence of her family, who always encouraged her to follow her dreams.
