Evie W. Lindberg, Ed.D., Professor at Oral Roberts University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in special education.
Having accrued 45 years of professional experience, Dr. Lindberg has excelled as a professor in the College of Special Education at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma since 2017. She previously taught as an associate professor from 1997 to 2012 and as an instructor from 1995 to 1997. Prior to delving into the collegiate realm, Dr. Lindberg taught special education, English and mathematics at Metro Christian Academy from 1987 to 1995 and was a homebound teacher with City of Faith in 1995. Likewise, she was a high school special education educator at South Intermediate and an elementary school special education itinerant teacher at Catoosa Elementary School between 1979 and 1981. Earlier, she served as a visual therapist at Radar Learning Center from 1976 to 1978.
Notably, Dr. Lindberg served as vice president of the Learning Disabilities Association of Oklahoma from 1979 to 1982. Regarded as an individual who is always willing to be a servant-leader, she stays on top of technology and education in her field, while winning numerous awards, including being named Top Female of the 2014-2015 Year at Oral Roberts University. To remain abreast of her industry, she maintains affiliation with the International Women’s Leadership Association, International Dyslexia Association, Learning Disabilities Association of America and Oklahoma, Gatesway Foundation, Council for Exceptional Children, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Anti-Bullying Collaboration and Kappa Delta Phi. Dr. Lindberg earned a Bachelor of Arts in special education and mental retardation from Oral Roberts University in 1979, a Master of Arts in special education learning disabilities from the University of Tulsa in 1983 and a Doctor of Education in educational leadership from Oral Roberts University in 2012.
