Kaitlyn Marie Goertz, a teacher at Marble Falls Independent School District, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of secondary education.

Drawing on more than five years of professional experience, Ms. Goertz is recognized for her work as a teacher for the Marble Falls Independent School District in Texas, where she has found success since 2017. In addition to her responsibilities in teaching algebra to high school students, she serves as the head volleyball coach and assistant basketball coach. Prior to her current position, Ms. Goertz maintained involvement as a mathematics and science teacher at Fredericksburg High School from 2015 until 2017, and as a volleyball, track and basketball coach for Fredericksburg Middle School.

Ms. Goertz’s exemplary performance in the field was born of her own academic journey, during which time she received a Bachelor of Arts from Schreiner University in 2016. She was recognized as the Student Ambassador of the Year throughout the course of her studies and was nominated multiple times as a conference community student athlete. Additionally, Ms. Goertz advanced as a volleyball and basketball player to the first-ever Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament finals during the 2014 to 2015 season, and received numerous endorsements after her graduation for the service projects she had undertaken.

Ms. Goertz credits much of her success to the support and tutelage of her instructors in college, who assisted her in coping after her father passed away from brain cancer. Drawing from the example of her coach and calculus teacher, she resolved to follow the same path and pursue a career in education. Additionally, Ms. Goertz was gratified to arrange a fundraising night during a college basketball game, the proceeds of which went toward a family that had also been impacted by losing a member to cancer.
