Title: Education Consultant
Location: Ridgeway, South Carolina, United States
Dr. Cathryn W. Kennedy, Education Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
Inspired by her fourth grade teacher, Dr. Kennedy desired to spearhead a career within the educational sector in her own right. Upon earning a Bachelor’s degree from Immaculata University, she later attained a Master’s degree in special education and administration from Seton Hall University and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of South Carolina. In her career, Dr. Kennedy taught children who were enrolled in regular education programs, as well as children who were in special programs. Likewise, she taught students in grades three through 12, along with adults in adult education courses. She notes that sometimes she taught children and their parents at the same time, which was interesting and not something many educators can say they have done.
After numerous decades in the field, Dr. Kennedy retired as an educational consultant, teacher and administrator. Notably, she has been named Teacher of the Year on several occasions and was the recipient of an award from the County Chamber of Commerce. Attributing her success to the Lord, she also credits her parents for providing her the environment for her to grow up and encouraging her to be a fabulous teacher. To remain abreast of her industry, Dr. Kennedy maintains professional affiliation with the National Teacher’s Association and the Association for Administrators. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue offering her guidance and expertise to budding educators through helping with lesson plans, writing, dissertations and more.
