Marsha Lynne Kocurek, President of the Caldwell Education and Leadership Foundation and Co-Owner of Summit Pump and Safety, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership as an educational foundation executive.
Since 2018, Ms. Kocurek has served as the president of the Caldwell Education and Leadership Foundation, an organization that seeks to enhance the educational experience of all Caldwell Independent School District students. The foundation also provides grants to fund district programs and has raised more than $50,000, impacting the lives of more than 1,000 students. In addition, Ms. Kocurek serves as the co-owner of Summit Pump and Safety in Caldwell, where she has worked since 2009 and contributes her time as a speech therapist with a local hospital. For seven years, she worked with the Lexington Independent School District, and for three years she was affiliated with the Texas Agricultural Extension Service.
In preparation for her professional pursuits, Ms. Kocurek attended Blinn College, where she earned an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science. She later received a Bachelor of Science from Texas Agricultural & Mechanical University, a Master of Science in communication sciences and disorders from Texas Woman’s University, and a Master of Arts in agricultural communication from Oklahoma State University. Currently, she is pursuing a doctorate degree at Baylor University. Eminently qualified, Ms. Kocurek received a Certificate in Education Foundation Leadership from the National School Foundation Association in 2020. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
