Mr. Saint-Louis chose teaching as his career because for as long as he can remember that was what he wanted to do. He remembers playing school with his siblings while growing up. As he grew up, his teacher became his inspiration and solidified teaching was the right career path for him. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2018. He then received a Master of Science in biological sciences the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2019. Looking to advance his career, Mr. Saint-Louis is currently taking coursework in educational leadership and management at Fitchburg State University.
Mr. Saint-Louis is most proud of being one of the finalists for Massachusetts Teacher of the Year award. Since 2018, he has been a biology and chemistry teacher at Lowell High School and since 2020, he has been a Massachusetts education policy fellow at the Rennie Center for Education Research and Policy. Previously, he has held the positions of resident advisor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2017 to 2019, practicum teacher at Lowell Public School s in 2018, career and co-op center educator and advisory board member of the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2016 to 2018 and community outreach coordinator and student alumni ambassador at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2016 to 2018, to name a few. As a testament to his success, Mr. Saint-Louis has received myriad accolades including but not limited to a Certificate of Achievement from the Office of Multicultural at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2018, Meritorious Service Award from the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2018, ISPE Joel Goldberg Memorial Scholarship in 2018 and a BNY Mellon John L. Bates Scholarship in 2017 and 2018.
