Trudy Fraase Wolf, Superintendent at Zeeland Public School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in music education and academic administration.

Inspired to take on a career in music education from consistent requests to give piano lessons, Ms. Wolf earned a Bachelor of Science in music education, summa cum laude, from Dickinson State University in 1990 and a Master of Music in oboe performance from the University of Illinois in 1992. At the start of her career, she taught sixth to eighth-grade band and choir at Rugby Public School from 1992 to 1993 prior to joining the faculty at Zeeland Public School in North Dakota in 1993. From 1993 to 1997, she taught K-12 music, from 1997 to 2014, she taught K-12 music and library, and from 2014 to 2015 she taught K-12 music, library, and elementary principal. In the most recent years, from 2015 to 2019, Ms. Wolf taught K-12 music, library, elementary principal and secondary principal. While serving as the elementary and high school principal, the school was named to Newsweek’s Top 500 High Schools in the U.S. in 2016. Since 2019, she has served as the superintendent as well as a teacher of Pre-Kindergarten-12 music and library. From 1996 to 1997, she also taught K-12 music in Lehr, ND.

Ms. Wolf attained a Master of Science in music education from the University of Illinois in 1996. Additionally, she earned a Master of Science in education in leadership and administration from Northern State University in 2010. While matriculating with her postgraduate education, Ms. Wolf continued teaching at Zeeland Public School.

Ms. Wolf currently performs with the Missouri River Community Band since 2000, with the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, and with the West River Winds. Ms. Wolf had previously performed with the Minot Symphony Orchestra and ELCA Lutheran Church. Presently, she maintains membership with the Music Educators National Conference, American Choral Directors Association, National Band Association, North Dakota Council of Educational Leaders, International Double Reed Society, Mu Phi Epsilon and Lions. To attest to her legacy, Ms. Wolf is also listed in editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the Midwest, and Who’s Who of American Women.
