Pamela L. Noble, Research Associate at The National Institute of Mental Health, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists & Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in behavioral psychology.
For over 15 years, Ms. Noble has been a research associate at the National Institute of Mental Health, where her work specializes in behavioral psychology and the neuromechanics of learning, memory, and decision-making. Ms. Noble began her career as a conservationist working with the Jane Goodall Foundation. Her background in animal behavior eventually led her to develop an interest in the science of human behavior, and in 2003, she joined the National Institute of Mental Health as a contractor. She moved into her current role as a full-time research associate in 2006, and has collected numerous accolades for her work, including being named Outstanding Scientist in 2008 and presented with National Institute of Mental Health Director’s Awards each year from 2007 through 2011.
In addition to her behavioral psychology research, Ms. Noble has taught adult basic education, English as a second language, and GED preparation classes for more than a decade. She considers education to be her true passion, and is currently working on her Doctor of Education degree through the American College of Education, with a dissertation focused on the specialized social, emotional, and educational psychology needs of adult learners. Ms. Noble holds a Master of Science in experimental psychology from Capella University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and hopes to transition to working in education or educational administration within five years. She is a former volunteer with her area United Way chapter and a member of the American Society of Primatologists and Kappa Delta Phi, an honors society for educators.
