Pastor Ned Holderby, Owner and Operator at The Woodshed Music School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in music.
Pastor Holderby grew up with music, so there was a certain inevitability of him becoming involved in the field professionally. He drew inspiration from one of his fourth grade music teachers, who showed him how giving to others through music is a worthwhile contribution to life. While attending college, he met Robert Simpson, who was his voice teacher and choral conductor, and inspired him to pursue music in his career. Before embarking on his career, he earned a Bachelor of Music from Emory and Henry College in 1967. He then received a degree in singing and composition from Westminster Choir College.
Pastor Holderby is proud to have lobbied local legislators to help fix a nearby road, and attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new opening. Since 1998, he has been the co-owner and instructor at the Woodshed Music School. Previously, he was a private teacher of music and worked at a bank. As a testament to his success, Pastor Holderby was inducted as a member of the National Association of Teacher of Singing. He is also a former member of the Percussive Arts Society.
