Yvette LaNausse, PhD, Assistant Professor at both Orange Community College and Mount St. Mary College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of education.
With more than 10 years of experience in the field of education, Dr. LaNausse has distinguished herself as an assistant professor at both Orange Community College and Mount St. Mary College, where she has taught courses in mathematics, information technology, computer applications for business and cybersecurity since 2007. Additionally, she is certified as an Occupational Safety and Health Administration trainer through the U.S. Department of Labor and has taught courses on the subject via Thomas Shortman Training, an education management firm, since 2006. Most notably, Dr. LaNausse is also certified to teach in the virtual space through the video game Second Life, having attended advanced courses through the Online Learning Consortium.
Prior to her work in education, Dr. LaNausse found success as a consultant and lead instructor for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey from 2006 until 2007. Previously, she served as a first responder with Homeland Security and a training evaluator for the New York City Police Department (NYPD) between 2002 and 2005. Throughout the course of her employment with the aforementioned organizations, Dr. LaNausse leveraged many of the skills she cultivated as a police officer with the NYPD from 1985 to 2005.
Dr. LaNausse’s exemplary performance in the field was born from her academic journey, which began at Lehman College, a part of the City University of New York system, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in corporate training and a Master of Science in business education in 1995. Following these accomplishments, she later attended Bernelli International University, from which she received a Doctor of Philosophy in leadership policy adult education in 2007.
