Inspired by her mother, who was an English teacher, Ms. Pudlewski enjoyed reading from a very young age. For the following two years, she served as a tutor for the Research Foundation for SUNY Grant, followed by one year as a substitute teacher at the Windham Ashland Jewett Central School and concurrently as a teaching assistant for the Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth. Since 2012, Ms. Pudlewski has excelled as an English teacher for eighth and ninth grades at Cooperstown Junior/Senior High School.
Alongside her teaching endeavors, Ms. Pudlewski holds coaching licenses in tennis, basketball and soccer. She has been the board president of the Cooperstown Foundation for Excellence in Education since 2019, as well as the literary magazine advisor at the Cooperstown Junior/Senior High School since 2015. Maintaining affiliation with the New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education, the National Council of Teachers of English and the New York State English Council, she recently earned a teaching fellowship through the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting in 2020. Looking toward the future, Ms. Pudlewski intends to continue experiencing the growth and success of her career, and she notes that she hopes to be teaching for as long as possible as it is her passion.
