Susan Anderson Miller, EdD, Professor Emerita, Writer at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in elementary education and early childhood education.

Having long felt motivated to become a nursery school teacher, Dr. Miller drew inspiration from the influence of Rosemary Gannon, a teacher at Bennett College. After earning a Bachelor of Science in family relations, child development and elementary education in 1963, she attained a Master of Arts in elementary education in 1965. Continuing with her education, Dr. Miller received a Doctor of Education in early childhood education from Nova Southeastern University in 1984.

After Dr. Miller graduated, she taught second-grade and preschool students. She subsequently met Nancy Joan Hereford from  Instructor Magazine who encouraged her to pen articles and columns for a new magazine, which launched her writing career. To wit, Dr. Miller has written four column throughout the course of her professional journey.

Following her retirement in 2003, Dr. Miller was bestowed with the distinguished title of a professor emeritus with Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Previously, she served as a professor in elementary education at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania from 1972 to 2003.
