She then taught at Bolich Junior High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio for three years before taking time to travel through 1977. Upon her return, Ms. Morgan taught at the Garden Grove Christian School from 1984 to 1986. Most recently, she excelled as a language arts teacher with the Corona-Norco Unified School District for 24 years until retiring in 2010, having also achieved a Master of Science in education and reading from the California State University, Fullerton in 2006.
Finding great success throughout the course of her career, Ms. Morgan was the recipient of the Celebrate Reading Award from the Inland Empire Reading Council in 2000. In 1999, she received a Certificate of Appreciation for Facilitating the AB1086 Reading Instruction Development for Grades 4-8 from the Corona-Norco Unified School District Learning Support Services. With reflection, she attributes her success to perseverance. Ms. Morgan presently maintains membership with the Retired Teachers Association, Association of Presbyterian Members at Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach and the RHO Chapter of Alpha Phi International, of which she was president in 1967. Her advice to aspiring educators is to never give up on students and look on the bright side of life, as well as being caring and reliable.
