Dennis E. Hall, English and Theater Teacher at Lee County School District, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in English, theater and education.
Following his graduation from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1983, Mr. Hall went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in English education, with a minor in theater, from Cleveland State University and the University of Arizona in 1988. Drawing upon his innate interest in the creative arts, he subsequently served the Charlotte County School System as an English and theater teacher for more than 10 years. Since 2015, he has further excelled as an English and theater teacher for the Lee County School District.
Although his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Hall is especially proud to have received a grant in excess of $10,000 from the Tony Awards’ American Theater Wing. Additionally, he has received myriad accolades in honor of his expertise, including a Teacher Award for exceptional test results from the State of Florida.
Alongside his primary pursuits, Mr. Hall contributes his time to the Salvation Army as a donor and Goodwill as a volunteer. Always desiring to give back to his community and his students, he wholeheartedly believes that children require theater, as well as other creative methods of self-expression, in an effort to see the world from variable viewpoints. He attributes his success to the education he received with the Shaker Heights School System, which shaped the foundation of his future success. Looking toward the future, Mr. Hall intends to ease into a well-deserved retirement. Ultimately, he would like to work in the field of theatrical arts and mentor students.
