Arnie Hilgert, PhD, Retired Management and Marketing Educator at Northern Arizona University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in management, marketing and academia.
Dr. Hilgert excelled as an associate professor of management and marketing at Northern Arizona University from 1992 until her retirement in 2004. Prior to her most recent venture, she served California State University, Los Angeles, as a sponsored research analyst from 1989 to 1990, The Claremont Graduate School as a research associate and administrator of the Executive Management Program between 1984 and 1989, and the Homefront Home Improvement Stores in Chico, California, as a manager and owner from 1975 to 1978. She commenced her career in 1971 as a partner of Durawood Shasta Pacific Industries, holding the position for seven years.
To prepare for her career, Dr. Hilgert pursued a formal education at the University of Redlands, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and management in 1982. Subsequently, she earned a Master of Business Administration in management and marketing from the Peter F. Drucker School of Management and a Master of Arts from the Center of Educational Studies at Claremont Graduate University in 1984 and 1991, respectively. She concluded her academic endeavors with a Doctor of Philosophy from the Claremont Graduate University in 1992.
Lending her expertise to creative works as well, Dr. Hilgert maintained membership with the editorial board of the Journal of Business Administration from 1988 to 2005, and was a textbook reviewer for McGraw-Hill Publications. She has further been a member of the Academy for International Business, the Arizona Distance Learning Association and Daughters of the American Revolution, among other organizations. As a testament to her success, she received a Teaching Excellence Award from the Academy of Business Administration in 1998.
