Terry Kimbley, Culinary Arts Instructor, Student Achievement Teacher, Instructional Coach at Buena High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in culinary arts education.

Backed by a teaching certificate from Northwest University, Mr. Kimbley has excelled as an educator with Buena High School in Sierra Vista, Arizona since 2014. A loved culinary arts instructor, he also serves as curriculum chair, student achievement teacher and instructional coach, in which he trains new hires on classroom management, teaching skills and state testing. Notably, Mr. Kimbley has been awarded various accolades for his continued efforts in teaching, most recently being granted the Best in Technical Education Golden Apple from the Sierra Vista Herald in 2020. In addition, in 2019, Buena High School named him Teacher of the Year and Inspirational Teacher of the Month, as well as honored him with the Cultural Impact Award.

Prior to his career in education, Mr. Kimbley excelled as the chairman of the Tourism Committee for a local city for five years. In this role, he was recognized with the You Rock Award for Best in the Industry from the Tourism Commission for the 2008-2009 year. Mr. Kimbley had also dabbled in food and beverage consulting in Los Angeles, as well as a road trainer and franchiser for a popular food company. Likewise, he was in the restaurant business for 20 years until 2002 in varying positions such as general manager, server, bartender and chef. He attributes his vast career success to his exceptional mentors, Monica Holguin, Wesley Wood, Sarah Avalos, Jacqui Clay, Johanna Scott and Kristine Hale. Presently, Mr. Kimbley holds membership with ACTAV and Arizona Family and Consumer Sciences. As he progresses in his career, he hopes to leave a positive impact on his students and colleagues alike.
