Anthony K. Farina, Distinguished Lecturer and Director of Business Consulting at Baruch College Zicklin School of Business, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business management.
Backed by more than 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Farina is a distinguished professional of strategy, leadership, management, corporate governance and executive development. Upon joining the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College in 2015, he excelled as an adjunct lecturer until 2017 when he was appointed as a distinguished lecturer and the director of business consulting. In his role, Mr. Farina teaches incoming executive MBA students strategy and leadership, as well as how to manage clients by assigning students to consultant teams and getting a volunteer advisor to guide the teams. Through his combination of a technical and consulting background, he has led a successful career across multiple avenues.
Before embarking on his career in the educational sector, Mr. Farina served various companies throughout New York City in business and human resources. A consultant for Optima Careers LLC from 2012 to 2015, he served Citi as managing director of compensation and corporate human resources, director of initiative and risk management and director of executive compensation and global relationship from 1995 to 2011. Additionally, he was a senior consultant for Organization Resources Counselors Inc. from 1992 to 1995 and managing director and vice president of human resources for JP Morgan Chase between 1984 and 1992. Simultaneously, Mr. Farina was director of human resources for Financial Guaranty Insurance Company in 1987 and 1988, as well as director of compensation for the American Express Company from 1978 to 1984.
Mr. Farina received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and English from LaSalle University in 1971 and a Master of Arts in international relations from Long Island University in 1973. Having studied in executive business programs, he was a student of case method at the Harvard Business School in 2018. Mr. Farina attributes his vast career success to his impeccable technical skills, along with the influence of his parents, hard work, sound morals and mutual respect for his students and colleagues. Presently, he serves on the board of directors for the Stop Abuse Campaign Corporation and is a member of the admissions committee for EMBA Healthcare at the Zicklin School of Business. Looking ahead, Mr. Farina hopes to continue growing in his role. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf.
