Linda Snell Hassinger, Retired English, Speech and Drama Teacher at Denton High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
Inspired by her own high school English teacher, Ms. Hassinger desired to serve in the same role for students, especially those dedicated to the arts. Enrolling at Montana State University Billings, she earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts to prepare her for her professional career. She began her career teaching at South Bend Washington Junior High School and KG High School. She had also found success for nearly 10 years as an adjunct professor of speech and writing at Montana State University. Notably, Ms. Hassinger excelled for more than 50 years to Denton High School, with which she worked as an English, speech and drama teacher until her retirement in 2016.
In her retirement, Ms. Hassinger has been active in her local community theater, having been a featured soloist and actor in a number of productions. Moreover, she was nominated for the Drama Hall of Fame Award in 2017 and twice nominated for Teacher of the Year for English and Language Arts. She attributes her professional success to her passion for education and commitment to reaching every student in her classroom. Presently, she holds membership with the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers. In the coming years, Ms. Hassinger hopes to travel more.
