Eleanor “Ellie” Fuerst, Teacher at the City School District of Albany, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in art education.
Serving as a middle school art teacher at the City School District of Albany for the past 10 years, Ms. Fuerst commenced her career within the business sector; however, she found that her financial pursuits were not as stable as she would have liked. To that end, she matriculated in the Saint Rose College, where she received a Bachelor of Science in education. Equipped with a prior Associate of Applied Science from the Mohawk Valley Community College, she has also taught art classes at the Blessed Sacrament School, Menands School, and Scotia-Glenville High School. At the inception of her career, she excelled as an intern with the National Museum of Dance in Saratoga Springs, New York.
A prolific artist in her spare time, Ms. Fuerst has had her artwork exhibited nationally and internationally, including in Paris and Geneva. Likewise, she formerly spent time in the Civil Air Patrol of Saratoga Springs, where she was a lieutenant commander in the Kadeross Unit. A senior member of the National Civil Air Patrol, she is also a former member of the Adirondack Arts and Crafts Guild and a current member of the Art Guild and the New York State Teachers Association. Looking forward, Ms. Fuerst intends to continue teaching and creating art while witnessing the continued growth and success of her career.
