Fernando Oliver, Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business, law, and academia.

Dedicated to serving his community as a civic leader from a young age, Mr. Oliver was inspired to pursue the legal and philanthropic industries by his father, who set a wonderful example for him growing up. Decorated with several degrees, he holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in management from the University of Puerto Rico, a Master of Arts in Counseling from Rowan University, a certificate in microeconomics from the Christian Economics Institute, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Brooklyn Law School. Additionally, he completed coursework at the Free University of Pennsylvania and pre-doctoral coursework at the City University of New York.

Since 1985, Mr. Oliver has excelled as a professor of business and law at Fairleigh Dickson University, where he established the Gateway to the Future (“Puerta al Futuro”) program, an undergraduate program for Hispanic students with English language deficiencies. Prior vocational endeavors to his credit have included a thesis advisor, mentor, and adjunct instructor of business law, management, economics, and marketing at the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising College, an adjunct professor at LaGuardia Community College, and an adjunct professor in the Departments of Psychology and Continuing Education at Rowan University. Additionally, he has served as a part-time legal counsel since 1990, specializing in criminal, commercial, and health law.

In light of his immense contributions to law, education, and humanitarian efforts, Mr. Oliver has earned several accolades, including the Simon Boliver Medal for Service in the Hispanic Community from the Republic of Colombia in 2011, and was named one of the Ten Best in New Jersey for Outstanding Client Satisfaction by the American Institute of Criminal Defense Attorneys in 2017 and 2019. He also earned a Presidential Medal from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2009.
