Janece D. Boyd, BA, MA, at Rialto Unified School District, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
Ms. Boyd decided to pursue a career in education after seeing her family members struggle with academics. Not wanting them to be marginalized or forgotten, she enrolled in college. In 1992, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts and science, which provided her with the foundation to further her education at the University of La Verne. In 1999, Ms. Boyd acquired a Master’s degree, going on to become an educator with the Rialto Unified School District. Building off her prior experience as a substitute teacher at the Colton Joint Unified School District, she has excelled in her role for over 20 years.
Reflecting on her accomplishments, Ms. Boyd considers her greatest achievement to be her experience in structuring a curriculum that would apply to every student in her classroom. She felt this was critical to her students’ success, and, as a teacher, she could not deny her students the perfect learning environment. In the future, Ms. Boyd wants to work with the homeless population in her area to provide them an education and hopefully improve their lives.
Outside of her educational endeavors, Mr. Boyd has been active in politics fighting for the rights of low-income women and children for years. From 1970 until 1990, she volunteered with Neighborhood Bookkeeping and Tax Service. She additionally worked with the Women’s Agenda Project for a number of years. A published author of poetry, Ms. Boyd is a gifted writer. She strongly believes in the importance of education and looks forward to continuing to inspire her students to learn for as long as she can.
