Jason A. Yeaman, Principal at Little Cypress Junior High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in academic administration.
Backed by a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education from Lamar University, Mr. Yeaman was certified as an early childhood through 12th-grade principal by the Texas Education Agency in 2012. Earlier, from 2006 until 2010, he gained experience as a junior high school teacher at Nederland ISD. In the years that followed, he brought his skills to Orangefield ISD and Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD. At the latter school, Mr. Yeaman took on the role of high school assistant principal in 2013. Remaining there until 2015, he became the middle school principal at Vidor ISD for the next three years. Finding that he had a passion for academic administration, Mr. Yeaman became the junior high principal at Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD in 2018. Today, he continues to excel in this role.
A member of the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals, Mr. Yeaman was named as the organization’s School Principal of the Year in 2018. Earlier, in 2014, he was nominated for the National Life Group Life Change of the Year award. Reflecting on his success thus far, Mr. Yeaman credits his drive to grow as a professional. He is always open to learning from others and strives to follow in the footsteps of those he admires. In the coming years, Mr. Yeaman hopes to take on a role at the district administration level and move up the ranks of his profession even further.
