Brian J. Morris, DSc, PhD, Professor Emeritus at the University of Sydney, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in science education and research.
During his time at the University of Adelaide, Dr. Morris was tasked with a research project that required the solving of a difficult problem, solidifying his enjoyment of his chosen career path. After earning a Bachelor of Science from the institution, he attended the University of Melbourne where he earned a Doctor of Philosophy. Later, in 1993, Dr. Morris graduated from the University of Sydney with a Doctor of Science. Throughout his illustrious career, he brought his skills to the National Health and Medical Research Council at the University of Missouri, the American Heart Association and the University of Sydney. Since 2013, Dr. Morris has continued to excel at the School of Medical Sciences and the Bosch Institute at the University of Sydney as a professor emeritus.
Outside of his primary endeavors, Dr. Morris has contributed more than 420 articles to professional journals, as well as chapters to books. Moreover, since 2010, he has acted as the chief executive officer to the Circumcision Academy of Australia. As a testament to his professional success, Dr. Morris was presented with the Irvine Page-Alva Bradley Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Heart Association in 2014. Earlier, he earned the Lewis K. Dahl Memorial Award from the Council of High Blood Pressure Research within the American Heart Association, as well as the Scroll of Honour Australian Day Award from the Waverly Council. A member of the Order of Australia, Dr. Morris is featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering and Who’s Who in the World.
