Connie Corcoran Wilson, Chief Executive Officer at Quad Cities’ Learning, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in English education.
In the sixth grade, Ms. Wilson wrote an award-winning poem that influenced the outcome of her future. In receiving recognition for her work, she found that her passion for writing could potentially serve as a career. In 1967, she earned a Bachelor of Science in English from the University of Iowa and went on to acquire a Master’s degree in English and education from Western Illinois University. In the years that followed, Ms. Wilson completed postgraduate coursework at Northern Illinois University and the University of California Berkeley.
In 1969, Ms. Wilson commenced her career as the chairman of the English department at Silvis Junior High School in Illinois. She excelled in that role until 1985, going on to become a writer with Performance Learning Systems in New Jersey. From 1986 until 2003, Ms. Wilson served as the owner and director at Sylvan Learning Center. After serving as the chief executive officer and president at Prometric Testing, Ms. Wilson took on the role of chief executive officer at Quad Cities’ Learning, Inc. She remains there today, going on to consistently demonstrate success every day. As a testament to her success, Ms. Wilson is featured in the 24th edition of Who’s Who in the Midwest.
