Dr. Craig ZumBrunnen, Geography Educator and Researcher, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
With a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota, Dr. ZumBrunnen attended the California Institute of Technology, earning a Master’s in 1968. By 1973, he had earned a PhD from the University of California Berkeley. After gaining experience as a teaching assistant at the University of California Berkeley and Ohio State University, he was hired as a research associate at the University of Washington. Dr. ZumBrunnen remained there until he retired in 2014, gaining positions of more responsibility as a professor through the years. He retired from teaching as an emeritus professor in recognition of his success in the classroom.
An active member of his industry, Dr. ZumBrunnen maintains affiliation with a number of professional organizations. These include, but are not limited to, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Association of American Geographers, and the National Geography Society. From 1966 until 1968, Dr. ZumBrunnen was a fellow for the National Education Association. In the coming years, he plans to become more active in the climate change community to help the Earth.
