Christine Dockery Brooks, PhD, Global Learning Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership.

Backed by a Bachelor of Science from North Carolina Central University, Dr. Brooks graduated from Columbia University with a Master’s in 1971. Five years later, she furthered her education once more by earning a PhD from Florida State University. Dr. Brooks began her career in 1976 as the department chairman and an associate professor at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. Two years later, she relocated to the Department of Education for the State of Florida, becoming the resident educational consultant. In 1986, Dr. Books took on the role of deputy director for the office of policy and planning within the District of Columbia Government. She continues to excel in that position today, alongside her more recent venture as state administrator for the District of Columbia Community Services Block Grant Program.

Outside of her primary endeavors, Dr. Brooks remains active in education as a part-time consultant for the United States Department of Education. Moreover, she is an active contributor of articles to professional journals. In light of her early career accomplishments, she was named as one of the Outstanding Young Women in America in 1976 and 1977. As a further testament to her success, Dr. Brooks is featured in the 5th edition of Who’s Who in American Education and the 16th edition of Who’s Who of American Women.
