One year later, she earned a Master of Library Science from Case Western Reserve University. Later, in 1975, she earned a certification in academy health information profiles from the Medical Library Association. Her first professional position was that of an adjunct faculty member within the school of library science at Case Western Reserve University. Looking back to her decision to pursue health sciences, Ms. Blazar attributes her choice to her aunt, who was a nursing administrator. Outside of her professional endeavors, she has found joy volunteering at her local public library.

She maintains affiliation with the Penn State Alumni Association. In her spare time, she enjoys crochet, knitting, reading, and gardening. She additionally is fascinated by motor vehicles.
